Headcanon sketch: Sometime after Keiji’s death, Kasumi went back to Japan to light a lantern for Keiji during the O-bon festival, so that his spirit can find its way back to the afterlife across the water. I always figured Kas was a spiritual person, which is why she gets along with Thane so well, because their beliefs are so similar.

30 Day Mass Effect Challenge: Day 3

Garrus Vakarian
 
I liked Garrus in ME1, but not significantly more than anyone else. In ME2, however, I adore him. I think his friendship with Shepard is brilliant, and all my Shepards are close to Garrus, even when they don’t romance him (I have one Shepard who held out for him, and one who fell into his arms post-Horizon). I take him pretty much everywhere on all my ME2 playthroughs. I just wish he wasn’t calibrating all the damn time. His story in ME2 is my favourite out of all the companions.
 
To paraphrase something from his romance, I don’t have a turian fetish, but for Garrus… yeah.
 
 

Tali’Zorah vas Normandy
 
I feel like, as with Garrus, Tali also grows up a lot between games, but she’s still adorable. My main Shepard loves her like a little sister (although in that playthrough she didn’t come out so much as November’s an Engineer). I see them hanging out in Nova’s cabin, talking boys, geeking out over tech and ganging up on Garrus. I can’t ever not take that interrupt and pull the “hug Tali” trigger.
 
Garrus, Tali & Shepard were ME2’s Kaidan, Ashley & Shepard.

 
Kasumi Goto
 
I’ve always felt warmly towards Kasumi, and now I’m on my insanity playthrough and finding that I’m using her loads. I wish she had full dialogue, as I find myself in her room just trying to get her to say something new.
